Cardinal Post 1 Male || 4 years || Palace Knight Wolf || Tagged: no-one
As always, Cardinal was in a poor mood. He'd been lectured again for trying to fight another wolf soldier, although it had really gone in one ear and out of the other. He just wanted some action! It had been a long time since he'd been in battle, and he was itching to get into a fight. He also still hadn't been assigned to a human, so he couldn't even ask them to duel him. He sighed, resting his head on his paws. It was a fairly typical morning. The birds were awake already and singing (how annoying), and the sun was just settling into a comfortable place in the sky. Cardinal was hoping to be assigned to some kind of patrol, but after the lecture he had just received, he wasn't exactly hopeful. Sighing angrily to himself, he stood up and padded out of the palace grounds and into the village. He needed something to do, and for now, a walk seemed like a good idea. Maybe he'd find someone to challenge to a scrap, And then he'd win, and then he'd feel good for the rest of the day. Yeah, now that he thought about it, that seemed to be a good plan.

MARROK
The breeze rippling through his fur is what awoke Marrok. He yawned, stretched before rising to his feet
and shaking the sleep from his body. As much as Marrok loved his rest, he loved the early mornings even more. Before
the rest of the tribe was awake. He loved the peaceful quiet. He loved the occasional chirp of a cricket or call of a bird.
He loved the feel of the damp, dew covered grass beneath his paws. Marrok took a deep breath of the clean, fresh air, before
turning to patrol around the tribe. As a scout, it was his job to make sure nothing made its way into tribe borders. And
Marrok made it his duty to check within the tribe that everything was okay before leaving for his shift. He peaked into
each den and scouted around the bushes. All seemed to be just as it should.

The wind, as cool and crisp as it had been through the past few days, grazed the black wolf’s fur, to his muscular figure below, it danced across his chiseled muzzle, his dull grey eyes, and the metal earring(s) attached to both his ears, it made his tail wave for a brief moment before he decided it would be best to include himself amongst the pack. Atticus Shadowhide, the Alpha who –despite having a tough schedule-always found the time to talk with those who admired him. He was dedicated to these wolves after all. They made him. It was a plenty different approach than the other Alphas who would usually lock themselves away, think they were better than the poor, but to Atticus everyone was poor deep inside. Everyone was rich too, all in their own ways, so that was no excuse to not make them smile. The black wolf strode amongst his tribe, showing respect to those who noticed him, carrying his head held high not to be superior over them, but to see the little ones back behind the adults. The pups whose eyes were wide for seeing their leader, which grew even wider as he came around to them, his shadow like a blanket across their tiny bodies. There were four of them, with their lips parted, tiny baby fangs showing a tad. Not one could utter a word, except for Atticus who smiled warmly. His voice, as soothing as a lake’s surface, and heartwarming as a soft fire, washed over their puppy ears.“What might you four be doing out and about at this hour?” The pups weren’t sure how to respond, so the male gave a long nod, and arched a brow, still with his fatherly smile attached to his maw. “Let me; guess...you’re playing a game, aren’t you? I don’t see any food on your paws so that must be it.” His pierced ears flicked forward, and he narrowed his eyes playfully, as if he were studying their body language and facial features. “You all seem like you were looking for someone...no, you couldn’t be playing hide and seek, could you?” Immediately the pups leapt up with brightened eyes as if he hit it right on the nail, their stubby tails racing madly, they all chattered at once, causing Atticus to laugh. “Oh I guess I was right, now, one at a time, one at a time,” chuckling he then lowered his head, his grey eyes laid on the pups’ bright features. The Alpha asked in a playful whisper.“So tell me, who are we looking for.” The four of them, after hearing the ‘we’ sent each other mouth gaping looks. “Whoa...” One male squeaked. Another runt female chimed in, but promptly dropped her ears bashfully as if she had done something wrong. “A-Akis, you’re playing with us?” A soft chuckle rumbled at the male’s throat as he smiled down at her, “why of course, little one.” The female’s big cheeks flushed and she pawed the air. “C’mon den, we need to find her. Akis wants to help us.” Looking at her three siblings, she stumbled over them, and the troop of puppies began to look around for scents, Atticus Shadowhide gently trailing behind, his sword chinking to his side as he walked, some of the children chattered about the Alpha joining in, the little female kept close to the male’s paws and beamed. “Akis, we are looking for my big sister, Apen-“ “That’s Aspen, Alue.” “I know that!” The little runt female barked, and then turned to look back up at her Alpha. Her baby puppy cheeks pinching as she smiled, little eyes gleaming up at him. Her toddler voice muttering, “Apen, is always the best at playing, so, maybe with you we can get her...” [/ul] [/div] ╔═════════════╗ Nɪᴄᴋɴᴀᴍᴇ ⧐ Sʜᴀᴅᴇ/Nɪɢʜᴛ Fᴏʀᴜᴍ ⧐ Ƥɡ. 1 Aɢᴇ ⧐ 3 Gᴇɴᴅᴇʀ ⧐ ♀ Aʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs ⧐ Sʜᴀᴘᴇsʜɪғᴛs ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ Lᴏʏᴀʟ ᴛᴏ ⧐ Tʀɪʙᴇ Rᴀɴᴋ ⧐ Lᴇᴀᴅ Wᴀʀʀɪᴏʀ Cʀᴜsʜ⧐ ✗ Mᴀᴛᴇ ⧐ ✗ Pᴜᴘs ⧐ ✗ ╚═════════════╝
[/strong] Leaping up over one of her warrior’s heads, the dark female she-wolf came across the soil and immediately whipped back around, claws shredding the dirt, her blade drizzling in blood from her opponent as she ended the duel. Heavy exhales came passing through her bared fangs and then she lifted her head and flicked her ears forward, indifferently, seeing how winning generally came easy for her anyway. She eyed the wolves gathered around the duel. “As you can see,” the lead warrior lessoned, in a viperous hiss. “He may have been watching his front, but he did not pay attention to his flanks.” Nikita’s piercing green irises zapped to the warrior at the center whose head was lowered between his legs as he panted. Saliva and drops of blood collected below him. There was a long cut made in his flank, from his upper hip ascending in a slant from where she made her mark. The cream colored male also had other scuffs and bruises, but that was the most obvious wound, she was meaning to put him in his place anyway – so this duel benefitted everyone, except the unsuccessful male. The apprentices got a chance to learn, and she got a chance to kick a pupil back in his place. Stepping toward him, and around, she came near the wound and eyed her observing audience, “now if this was not a training session, students - I had the opportunity to cut the tendons in his legs.” The she-wolf taught savagely and dipped her blade to tap the vulnerable ligaments, before pulling her head back up and snarling. “Now if your tendons are cut in battle, you are dead, understand. Your legs would be unusable, so do not make this mistake! It is an infantile slipup that can cost you dearly.” Letting that soak in for a second, she drew in her last heavy breath before settling her lungs back out. She planned to humiliate this wolf in front of his peers. ‘Since these damn pups have no idea how little they know.’ Nikita’s predatory gaze shot down to the sweating brute, who quivered in place. A scowl came to her expression before she fully sheathed her weapon and perked her ears. This little session was over. “Class dismissed.” She hissed, and drew from the male. ⚔[/ul][/div] ╔═════════════╗Nɪᴄᴋɴᴀᴍᴇ ⧐ ✗ Fᴏʀᴜᴍ ⧐ Ƥɡ. 1 Aɢᴇ ⧐ 4 Gᴇɴᴅᴇʀ ⧐ ♂ Aʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs ⧐ Bʟᴀᴄᴋ Oᴏᴢᴇ Cᴏᴍᴘᴀɴɪᴏɴ ⧐ Lᴀɪᴍ Kᴀɪɴ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ Lᴏʏᴀʟ ᴛᴏ ⧐ Pᴀʟᴀᴄᴇ Rᴀɴᴋ ⧐ Kɴɪɢʜᴛ's Wᴏʟғ Cʀᴜsʜ⧐ ✗ Mᴀᴛᴇ ⧐ ✗ Pᴜᴘs ⧐ ✗ ╚═════════════╝ The creeping sun brought both Knight’s and their wolves out into the open, and as per usual, Taint was up and already with the commoners. His feet were rapidly clawing at the cobblestone roads, his mind working like clockwork at the same time, every morning. ‘It is now....6:50. Perfect, right on schedule, okay, I just have to do a quick border check, and then give visit my supervisor. If I’m lucky I’ll have the whole day booked,’ was the black and white corrupt wolf’s planned schedule as he meandered his way through the structures of the village. The orange rays of the sun gently struck his armor as he moved and swerved through the occasional person. His tail waved, not passing anyone in particular a glance, his ears kept forward, the male drew his aquamarine eyes to and fro, his pupils narrowed with even the slightest suspicious thing. He had a policy he had to keep. Nothing out of the ordinary can be allowed, and Taint planned to keep it that way. As a matter of fact the wolf only had his plans, which could not be said about his new partner – Liam. No, Taint never really knew anyone and kept to himself but he knew enough to tell, his partner had a mind of his own, he had his own code, his own -policies. ‘Might as well string him up and give him to the Queen for treason,’ he snuffed. ‘I don’t understand how anyone could live so...mindlessly...I mean, make your own rules and conducts because honestly, I don’t. And I’m better off for it. My mind is always working, I’m always on time, my supervisors acknowledge that I am trustworthy, and I keep peace within the kingdom! What more could one want.’ Taint felt disgusted, so he pushed the thoughts aside to continue on his course, he had done enough thinking on his own as it was, and it made his black and white fur prickle. There were shudders. After all a personality could only get you so far in life within the palace, so why bother having one? ☢ [/ul][/div] ╔═════════════╗Nɪᴄᴋɴᴀᴍᴇ ⧐ ✗ Fᴏʀᴜᴍ ⧐ Ƥɡ. 1 Aɢᴇ ⧐ 30 Gᴇɴᴅᴇʀ ⧐ ♂ Cᴏᴍᴘᴀɴɪᴏɴ ⧐ Kᴀsʜᴇᴇɴ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ ▰ Lᴏʏᴀʟ ᴛᴏ ⧐ Pᴀʟᴀᴄᴇ Rᴀɴᴋ ⧐ Gᴜᴀʀᴅ Pᴇᴛ ⧐ Oʙsᴄᴜʀᴇ ╚═════════════╝ [/strong] The bitter sound of the morning birds brought along a deathly stare behind the man’s torn hood, which even in the growing morning remained black and conceded, but even in the basking light there was enough dreariness in the sinister alleyway of the village to keep Unknown satisfied. Many unfortunate people had met their demise in this very place, making it a clear place to avoid from the others living within this revolting village, and often, the death eater would find his way back as if he could follow its stench. It was his regular trip, and there upon one of the roofs of the buildings, his raven, Obscure. The bird parted its beak in a haunting caw, overtaking the songbird’s song in order to please its master. He was a beautiful raven, his feathers always well-polished, beak shiny under the touch of the sun, Obscure had not met its owner in comparison in appearance, but in personality he matched Unknown in more ways than one. Black bird eyes skewered the village for any dead or dying forms, but to no avail. This day would be a peaceful one and therefore, unpromising, seeing how the black cloaked man despised them. They were his kryptonite one could say. But thankfully he did not have guard duty this day so, he could spend his time meandering the village for a change of heart. Perhaps a plague would begin if he was fortunate. Or a slaughter, but in this rising sun he was powerless. Obscure ruffled his feathers in a shudder, before tilting his head around to observe nothing in particular; he kept watch for anything of interest, and turned around, lifted his wings and glided down into the alley. His feathers ruffling as he descended, he came upon its master’s shoulder, a soft growl lifted from the bird’s throat, both the raven and Unknown knew it well. Their partner was stirring now. The wolf named Kasheen, the cloaked death seeker had been paired with. Obscure had taken a small glimpse of her a bit a ways, and if they were lucky, she would not be as difficult as his –previous- wolf. The mere memory of that fateful knight stirred breath from Unknown’s cloak as he let out a bloodthirsty chuckle, as haunting as death itself. ‘I should feel remorse for poor Ace, but he was a –burden animal.’ ♱[/ul][/div]

As the children finished cleaning them selves up for their morning breakfast, Kasheen eyed the wolves pouring into the streets. She didn't quite trust all of them, she knew how her kind could have an unruly temper. About that time, Kasheen's eyes fell on Cardinal, "Hmm, there's the trouble maker of the Knights guild..." she muttered as her neon green eyes followed him. "You two all done?" She asked the children before flattening her ears at the little girls screaming excitement, "Ahhh Yes!!!" She squealed and jumped on Kasheen's back. Kasheen expected the loud and some what irritating scream but not the sudden bony knees and elbows digging into her bruised sides. "AH, okay lets go!" Kasheen instantly jump to her paws. "Woah!" The little girl yelled as she held on tight to Kasheen's red fur. "Next time little one, please don't jump on me." She told her before looking at the boy. "Are you going to walk?" She asked him and watched as the boy eyed the large black and yellow winged wolf, Cardinal. "Hmm.." Kasheen hummed and nuzzled the human boy's face. "He wont bother you while I'm here." Kasheen told him before nudging the boy in the direction of their cottage. The two children of the retired guard quietly rode and followed Kasheen until they made it to their little cottage in the village square. "You two mind your parents, Now go eat up and grow strong for the future of our kingdom." she told the two with a smile. Turning from the cottage she looked to the Knight, Cardinal. He was looking for a fight yet again, she could see it in his golden eyes. "Cardinal, If you want action you should head to the practice arena.... that will keep you out of trouble." she told him, her lime green eyes narrowing as she looked him over. "Cane can't lecture you if you're fighting there." she told him, she had a feeling he'd just been scolded for his stunt he pulled the previous evening. That wolf just couldn't get it through his thick head that you can't just openly fight within the palace walls... it causes problems and panic among the villagers, hell who wouldn't panic if they seen a two six to seven foot tall wolves fighting in the market square? Kasheen continued towards him until she was about a yard away from him. "If you don't know where the arena is located I can take you there after I check in for my patrol..." She told him, she realized that mentioning her patrol would probably spark a hidden fuse within Cardinal's thick scale, but she wasn't worried about him possibly trying to challenge her. Even though she's bruised from last nights patrol that didn't mean she couldn't hold her own. She was a guard after all, a position in which she's been entrusted to protect the lives of those within the village. Some would think that Knight's and Guards are trained in a different manner but that wasn't the case. They both are trained equally, at least the wolves are, the human Knights and guards could be a different story. Rotating her wolf ears towards Cardinal, she waited for his reply, the sound of his sharp and foolish words... Something about this wolf always pissed Kasheen off. Maybe it was his mature want for action? maybe it was because he wasn't seasoned in battle... or maybe it was his pure loyalty to the palace. Holding her self in a dominate stance, she waited patiently for his reply. About that time, Kasheen's neon eyes shot to a Raven that let out is squaw of a call. Quickly her eyes traveled back Cardinal, her stance still tall and dominating.

"I can't wait till night fall..." Princess Myrina grumbled as she stared up at her bedroom ceiling from her bed where she lay. She could hear the beautiful song birds singing away just outside her window, and the annoying knocking of her hand maids at her bed chamber door. "Milady, may we enter?" They called softly, "They speak so softly yet they bang on the door like there's a fire taking over the palace." She muttered softly before swinging her legs over the side of her bed and sitting up. "You may enter." She spoke loudly, her voice like honey and confident. As soon as the Princess had given the word, the hand maids of her majesty came pouring into the room like a river damn had just broke and released the restricted water. 'Suitors... that's what I'm going to see after breakfast today... men that seek my hand... lovely.' she thought as she watched as over twenty women raced into her room and began putting fancy dresses on manikins made of straw and sheep's skin. Seeing the ten new and very extravagant gowns lining the width of her room, Myrina realized why all the hand maids were needed. '... Another day where i must grit my teeth and bare it... I'd so much rather be on the battle field facing a lion buck or a savage wolf...' she thought as she watched the maids tiredly. "Come now milady! You must bath! Oh, but please eat first!" It seem this hand maid before her highness was getting ahead of herself. "Yes, please... let me be to eat." All the hand maids stopped what they were doing and quickly turned and bowed to Princess Myrina and exited the room for a brief amount of time so she could eat in peace. "Thank the heavens... " she whispered as she was now finally alone again. Standing to her feet, she shivered as her bare feet touched the cold marble floors of her bedchamber. Walking towards the center of her room, Myrina sat at the single silver crafted table and chair, "Hmm, they changed the Silver dish covers to gold ones." She softly muttered, something no other royal would ever do, manners they would tell her. 'royal's don't mutter, speak up girl!' rolling her eyes for a moment as the thought came to mind, Myrina quickly and easily removed the golden covers which kept her food warm. As the lid came off, the magnificent scent of banana and strawberry porridge filled her nostrils along with the smell of freshly baked banana bread and hot roasted nuts. Finishing up her meal Myrina called the maids back into her room and asked "So, may I so kindly ask what all the extravagant gowns are for?" a soft chuckle left her pretty pink lips. Soon after a new maid spoke up as no other maids dared to bring the truth to light "Um, ah well there are some very important people coming to the palace today... Among them will be a few suitors as well, they've all asked for your hand in marriage and well... your mother and father felt you should at least meet them." The maid stumble around as she tried to speak. Though she was new to the maids of the palace, she knew that the princess was against meeting suitors. Myrina's brow twitched slightly but then relaxed, she hated suitors and her parents knew it, all of the palace knew it "Since it's not only the suitors that are visiting, I'll dress and make my presents known... Other wise I would not attend at all." Myrina's expression hardened as she quickly rose to her feet and walked to her bathing room. "Is my bath hot like I always request?" She asked before turning her cold gaze back to the maids. She knew before they entered there were yet again more suitors she'd have to meet... the truth just soured her mood even more. The maids stood silently, the feeling of the once excited atmosphere was now a depressed and edgy one, the one thing that princess defiantly gained from her father was his cold and dominate gaze when in a fowl mood... you could defiantly tell they were father and daughter. After bathing and dressing in the maids favorite choice of all ten of the dresses, Princess Myrina gracefully walked through the palace and into the back garden. Her long light pink train trailed behind her as she tried to quietly escape into her favorite area of the garden. As the light hit her, the sun reflected off her pearls sewed into the fabric around her breast and down her mid section. Lining the seems of her dress was golden trim and lace which was also decorated with peals in places. Once she was out of sight of the palace windows, Myrina sighed with relief and quickly made her way through the rose bush maze, she knew for a fact on the other side of this maze was the Knights arena, she hoped she'd get a glimpse of Taisuke Nadiachi, the man who was behind her reason for refusing suitors, though of course he didn't know that nor did her parents or any of the maids. "I hope he's there." She whispered as she picked up her dress a to help her glide more quickly through the rose maze. Exiting the maze, Myrina took in a deep breath and smiled as her eyes fell on the sight of swords colliding with one another and the sound of armor rattling as the knights moved in battle. * Tags: Open * Name: Lanaria Winterrain Age: 2 years Gender: Female Species: Miladda Wolf Location: Pack Rank: Lead Healer Companion: N/A Crush/Mate: None at the moment Kin: If there is anyone she doesn't know they exist.

Anara Tags: Open The Queen watched out her window as the day dawned. She enjoyed watching over the city from her window, high in the castle. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the warm morning sun on her face. She could hear the birds singing over the gardens. The warm wind whisked through the room, creating a dull whistle as it swirled. Though she new the chances were dull, she hoped her daughter would find a suitor that she would accept today. They had been through so many and where honestly starting to run low who was left. There was a faint crunch of gravel from the garden below. Anara turned her head to spy her daughter running through the roses, in a pink frilly dress. No doubt that was the maids. Her daughter would not have picked that out herself. She hoped the hem wouldn’t be ruined before the guests arrived. She would have to send maids after her to try to clean it up and make her presentable again. Anara watched her daughter’s brown hair reflect the sun as she weaved through the maze toward the edge of the garden, eventually disappearing from sight.
